The goal of Reversi (also called Othello) is to fill the board with as many discs of your color as possible. Use your finger to place colored discs on the board. You may place a disc anywhere on the board, as long as it surrounds at least one of your opponent's discs on opposite sides. You can surround discs horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. After you place your disc, any discs that you surrounded will flip over to your color. At the end of the game, if you have more discs of your color than your opponent, you win!
If the computer opponent is too hard or too easy, you can set the difficulty level of a new game with the 1 star (easy), 2 star (medium), and 3 star (hard) buttons. If you need help, tap the options button and turn on the flip number hint. It will help you see your possible moves and work on your strategy!

The corner spots on the board are the places to be. Discs in the four corners can't be flipped and open up more ways to flank your opponent's discs. Try to limit the amount of pieces you have on the board at the start of the game. While your goal is to take more spaces than your opponent, you don’t need to be the winning player right away. The less pieces you have on the board, the less of a chance your opponent has to steal them.

Leave plenty of space open for you to continue making moves with your color. If you run out of spaces to place your piece, you'll lose a turn. You can come back into the game if your opponent gives you an opening to do so. Alternatively, look for chances to trap your opponent so that they can’t flank any of your discs. If you successfully stall them, you can easily win the game!
