How to enable Java in my web browser?

All of Coolmath's games and amusements are functioning perfectly. So, if the game isn't working for you, then there's a problem on your side that can probably be fixed.  ALL browsers (except one's from the early 90's -- haha) should be able to run these games.

If you do not see the word "Coolmath" in the blue rectangle below, reflecting and rippling on water, you need to adjust your browser by following the steps below the rectangle.

1) If you can see the rippling "Coolmath" above and the games look like they're up and ready, but you can't get it to start, click your mouse on the game area. Sometimes the game just needs to know you are ready to go.

2) The latest thing is that the new versions of Internet Explorer do not come with Java anymore.  So, you'll need to download and install Java.  You can do that here:  http://www.java.com/  Follow the steps on that site to install Java.

3) If you've downloaded and installed Java and things still aren't working, then you need to adjust your browser.

If you are using Internet Explorer...

  • Go to Tools on the menu at the top of the browser...

  • Select Internet Options...

  • Click on the Advanced tab...

  • Scroll down to Microsoft VM...

  • Make sure that the JIT compiler option is checked...

  • Reboot the computer and everything should be fine.

If you are using Firefox...

  • Go to Tools on the menu at the top of the browser...

  • Select Options...

  • Click on Content...

  • Make sure that "Enable Java" is checked.

If you are using Safari...

  • Go to Edit on the menu at the top of the browser...

  • Select Preferences...

  • Click on Security...

  • Make sure that Java is enabled by putting a "check" in the box.
