• Time attack: Look at the layout of the maze, and get to the goal as quick as possible.
• Lights out: You get to see the maze for a few seconds before it goes dark! Use your memory to find the right path.
• Ultimate time attack: This is the biggest maze in the game! How fast can you reach the goal?

This maze game provides a lot of fun whether you’re a puzzle-solving novice or expert. With that being said, let’s hop into some of the most frequently asked questions when it comes to Maze. 

Can you solve a maze by always turning right?

While many of the open mazes can be solved like this, you cannot solve a majority of the mazes in this game using this method. This is due to the fact that most of the mazes in Maze are closed mazes with dead ends at every turn. So while this may work for some of the more open mazes with either no dead ends or very few, there are many puzzles in this maze game that have closed loops, which will counter this strategy. 

What is the best maze strategy?

There are a few tips that we have when it comes to solving mazes. After all, it's the least we could do after giving you a 200-level game filled with difficult mazes left and right (pun 100% intended).

Slow down and think

The best maze strategy is really to stop and think about it. Oftentimes players will rush into the maze without even considering where they are going, relying on blind luck to get them there. Instead, take a step back and try to really think about the most likely routes.

Go Backwards

For some people, it helps to start by looking at the end of the maze and work their way back to the beginning. You would be amazed by how much of an impact this change in perspective has. 

Start on the outside

When there is a puzzle that you are really having trouble with, starting on the outside of the map and working your way in can often be a great way to approach things. Eliminate the outside options and then slowly start working your way inside. This might not be the fastest way to solve a maze, but for puzzles that you are really struggling with it is a good, reliable strategy that should help you eventually get through the maze.

What is the toughest maze?

With hundreds of mazes, you’ll be sure to find some pretty difficult puzzles as you continue playing. The difficulty continuously builds as you progress in the game, meaning that by the time you surpass the 100-maze mark, there will start to be some excruciatingly difficult mazes. The last 10 mazes are probably the most difficult in the game and players will need all of their puzzle-solving skills to be on point if they hope to defeat this intense maze game.

Why are mazes difficult?

Mazes are full of different options, which oftentimes give players misleading opportunities. Instinctually we want to pick the path that goes the most directly towards the exit. However, mazes will punish players for this most of the time by creating dead ends at the end of the easiest routes.

Along with this, there are just so many opportunities to mess up. Most of the time there is only one correct route, and there are at least 10 decisions to make on these mazes, and each of those decisions may be followed by other twisting turns and choices. That means that one wrong turn may still have dozens of branching paths.

How do you make a super hard maze?

For those of you who are interested in creating your own maze game, we do have a couple of tips. 

For one, creating as many dead ends as you can would be a good start. Dead ends throw off players, especially when dead ends are placed at the end of the map near the exit.

Another important tip is to create as many options in the maze as possible by creating a bunch of different routes. The more decisions that you can make players have, the more opportunities they will have to screw up and take longer trying to solve the puzzle.
