Symbols of 3, leave them be

You cannot place three moon or sun symbols next to each other in a row, horizontally or vertically. (Diagonally is OK). This is a pretty simple rule to follow, yet it’s probably the most important game mechanic that you’ll need to look out for.

Keep everything balanced

Each row and each column must contain exactly the same number of suns and moons. In the standard 6x6 grid, there will be three suns and three moons in each row, and three suns and three moons in each column.

Do the math

Cells separated by an equals sign must contain the same symbol. Cells separated by an X sign must contain different symbols. These signs are often crucial to understanding where your next step should be in the game.

Accuracy is key

You will never need to guess in order to solve the puzzle. Each puzzle has only one right answer. If you are ever confused on where to go and unsure of what to do next, you can always click on the ‘Hint’ button at the bottom of the screen. It will give you a tip that you can use to progress in your game of Tango.
