Instructions

Play chess on a mini-grid! Play against a friend or the computer to take all of their pieces. You control the white pieces, and you will always go first. Tap on any piece in your grid to select the piece you want to place, and then tap on a tile on the board to place it.

When it's your turn, you can either place a new piece or move a piece that is currently on the board. Use the regular rules of Chess to capture pieces in legal moves to win the game. Whoever captures the most pieces by the end of the game wins!

Pawns can only move forward one square at a time. Rooks can move any number of squares but only forward, backward, or sideways. Bishops can move any number of squares diagonally. Knights move in an L shape (two squares in one direction and then another square at a 90-degree angle). The King can move one square at a time in any direction. The Queen can move in any direction and move as many squares as possible.
