Fireboy and Watergirl is back, and they have brought some friends! Fireboy and Watergirl and Friends is all about using the power of friendship to collect diamonds, solve puzzles, and explore temples.

Unlike most games in the Fireboy and Watergirl series, Fireboy and Watergirl and Friends allows for up to three-player co-op instead of the usual two. In addition to Fireboy and Watergirl, each level now includes friends that can help you along the way. Use the G & J keys to move your friends and the Y key to make them jump.

All other controls are the same as previous games. Use the arrow keys to move Fireboy and the A, W, and D keys to move Watergirl. Remember that Fireboy can collect red diamonds and walk through lava, but cannot touch water. Watergirl, on the other hand, can collect blue diamonds and walk through water, but cannot touch lava. Avoid the toxic goo at all costs, as it harms both characters.

Strategies for Fireboy and Watergirl 7: And Friends

If you haven’t played the Fireboy and Watergirl games before, you probably don’t realize how demanding of a series it is. Not to worry though, we have some tips to help you escape the dungeon and achieve victory.

Use your new friends

Fireboy and Watergirl are now joined by additional friends on this adventure. Each friend has special abilities that will be helpful on your journey:

Small Friend

This friend is very tiny and can fit through narrow corridors. Small Friend’s biggest strength is accessing buttons and levers hidden behind paths that would be impossible for the others to reach.

Hairy Friend

This friend is lightweight and can jump very high. Hairy Friend’s biggest strengths are its light weight and high jump, which allow it to reach tall platforms and cover large gaps.

Big Friend

This friend is bigger and stronger than the others. Fireboy and Watergirl can stand on top of Big Friend for better mobility. Also, Big Friend can use its weight to hold down one side of a tilting beam. Big Friend’s biggest strength is using its size and power to assist Fireboy and Watergirl.

All of the new friends can walk through water, but cannot touch lava or toxic goo. Keep this in mind throughout your journey, especially as levels become more complex.

Focus on the diamonds

Your end goal is to help Fireboy and Watergirl reach their respective doors at the end of each level. Be sure to collect all of the red, blue, and special diamonds as you progress through your journey. It can be easy to take your eye off of the prize and forget a diamond or two, so make sure to keep this in the back of your mind at all times.

Don’t forget about the clock

It is important to keep an eye on the timer at the top of your screen. Finishing levels within a certain amount of time will help you earn the highest rank possible. Fireboy and Watergirl 7 requires a special balance of thoughtfulness and speed if you want to finish with a solid score.
