Use money to buy crops, then plant them on your farm. Then press Next Turn and your crops will generate their resource. Each level has a different resource goal to reach. Pay close attention to your goal and figure out how to meet it before you hit the turn limit!

In later levels you can build shops, which will automatically sell adjacent resources for gold.
