The newest clicker game here at Coolmath Games is Candy Clicker, the popular idle game where players are trying to collect as much candy as they possibly can. You can do this using two different methods – manual clicking and automatic candy mining.

Understanding the controls of Candy Clicker is a walk in the park. The only thing you need to do is click. You can either click on the candy itself to earn points, or go to the tab on the right and click to make upgrades.
The end goal of Candy Clicker is to produce as much candy as possible by getting the biggest and best upgrades. Understanding how to get all of these upgrades quickly can feel uncertain, especially at the very beginning when the large upgrades feel so far away. Not to worry though, this blog will teach you 4 different strategies on how to play Candy Clicker and breeze through the game.
Candy Clicker Strategies
There are a few simple strategies that you can use to turn Candy Clicker into a pretty easy game. If you follow these tips, it shouldn’t take more than half an hour of active play to unlock the largest and best upgrade, the Candy Man.
Click fast
In the beginning, the only way to mine more candy is to click on the piece of candy that is in the middle of the screen. The faster you click, the more resources you will be rewarded with. So don’t be shy, put all your focus into the candy and mine as much as possible. It doesn’t have to be pretty, it just has to be speedy.
One tip – most people can click faster if they use a mouse instead of a trackpad. This isn't to say that a mouse is completely necessary, it's just a nice little advantage that you can utilize in this clicker game.
Go for gold
Every minute or two, a gold candy will pass by in the background. Make sure to click on this when you see it. If you don’t get it in time, it won’t come back for a while.
This golden candy is worth tons of points. At first, it will be worth a few thousand, and will continually get more valuable as you get deeper into the game. By the end of the game, it will be worth upwards of millions of points. So make sure to keep your eyes peeled for it and don’t get absorbed into the other aspects of the game too much.
Upgrade often
On the right-hand side of your screen, there will be an area with all of the upgrade options. At first, we recommend that you upgrade your cursor so you can mine more candy quickly. Once you get around 25 candies per click, then you can start looking into the early upgrades, such as the Auto Candy upgrade and the Candy Farm.
A common mistake that newer players make is to try and save up for several minutes to try and get an upgrade that is out of their budget. A general rule of thumb is that if you have to wait for more than 3 minutes for a new upgrade, it’s probably better to just focus on improving the mines and factories that you already have. Trust us, it will end up saving you time in the long run.
Keep your tab open
As you continue to play Candy Clicker, fewer points will come from clicking and more points will come from your automatic mines and farms. One of the best parts of this is that even if you go to do something else, like grab a snack or even browse through a different tab, the mines and farms that you created will continue to work for you. So make sure to keep your tab open and reap the rewards of the upgrades that you have unlocked.
